We are entering the home stretch of the season with teams having either four or five games left to play. Let’s dive into this week’s NFL expert picks.

Betting the Colts and Eagles to cover against the lowly Texans and Jets seemed like free money. The Colts were coming off a tough loss to the Bucs and took out their frustrations against Houston while it was Minshew Mania for the Eagles, who covered the 6.5 points with backup QB Gardner Minshew under center.

On the other side, we were right about the Giants defense keeping it close – that game was 10-6 Miami heading into the fourth quarter – but ultimately New York couldn’t muster a single touchdown with backup QB Mike Glennon and ended up losing by 11.

NFL Free Picks: Week 14

Dallas Cowboys (-4) at Washington Football Team

The Cowboys are coming off a mini-bye after playing on Thursday night last week and head to Washington to take on their NFC East rivals.

We’re not going to make this one too complicated – the Cowboys are simply the much better team. On defense, Dallas has given up fewer yards per attempt on the ground and fewer net yards per pass attempt through the air. The Cowboys also rank fourth in the league in pressure rate while Washington ranks 17th.

On offense, the Cowboys average the third-most yards per play while Washington is 21st. Dak Prescott has also been better than Taylor Heinicke in virtually every important statistical category.

It’s really hard to make a statistical case for Washington keeping this game close, especially when you consider the extra rest and the fact that Prescott is 19-8 ATS within his division in his career.

We like the Cowboys to cover.
