2026 NFL Week 1 Odds

Notable Matchups/Line Moves

LATEST UPDATE: It’s the evening of May 14, and the NFL just released the entire 2026-27 schedule. So not only are NFL Week 1 odds on the board, so too are numbers for numerous matchups – marquee and otherwise – in subsequent weeks.

You can’t do much better than a Super Bowl rematch to start. Although hopefully New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks is more entertaining and closer this time around. The Seahawks beat the Patriots 29-13 to finish off the 2025-26 season.

The rematch is at 8:20 p.m. ET Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Seattle and airing on NBC. The Seahawks opened as 3.5-point home favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, a point below the closing Super Bowl spread.

“They’re betting the Seahawks early, and that trend will most likely continue,” DraftKings director of sportsbook operations Johnny Avello said.

On Thursday, Sept. 10, it’s San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams, two more teams that were Super Bowl contenders last season. The Rams opened -2.5 (-120) for an 8:35 p.m. ET kickoff from Melbourne, Australia, in the first of five games this season on Netflix.

The next prime-time matchup has actually seen movement very early on in NFL Odds Week 1. At 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday, Sept. 13, on NBC, the Dallas Cowboys visit the NFC East rival New York Giants.

DraftKings opened Dallas -1.5 and is up to -2.5 (-105).

“Bettors like the Cowboys in a number of games and also regular-season wins. The Cowboys’ win total has changed from 8.5 to 9.5,” Avello said.

An AFC West clash is the first Monday night game: Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs, at 8:15 p.m. ET Monday, Sept. 14, on ESPN. The Chiefs opened -2.5 (-120) at DraftKings.

Whether or if that line adjusts will depend largely on the progress of Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs QB tore an ACL and MCL in a December loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Mahomes is currently expected to be a go by Week 1.

“We anticipate Mahomes will play, so -3 would be the ceiling,” Avello said.
